Variety has learned that Thomas Mann (Project X) is in negotiations to join the big-screen adaptation of the Beautiful Creatures in the role of Link.

Mann is in talks to play Link, O’Connell’s best friend who’s fond of both music and magic, which [Emmy] Rossum’s character uses to get Link to obey her commands.
Mann would join the previously cast Viola Davis (The Help), Emma Thompson (Harry Potter), and Rossum in the adaptation of the popular novel from Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl.
