Production has wrapped on 13 Reasons Why season 2 and it sounds like we’re in for another thought-provoking season.

To celebrate wrapping production on 13 Reasons Why season 2, Selena Gomez took to Instagram on Sunday night to share some thoughts about what she’s hoping the new episodes accomplish.

The singer, who also serves as a producer on the project, shared a few snaps of herself and the cast at the seasons 2 wrap party and also took a moment to reflect on what they’ve accomplished this year in the caption.

“And this year wraps up with another committed journey with @13ReasonsWhy— Season 2 is coming,” wrote Gomez. “To every person on this project, thank you for coming back. Good or bad we are committed to having the tough conversations, to telling the story that can start change.”

Though many found the Netflix adaptation of Jay Asher’s young adult novel to be compelling, others felt as though the online streaming platform crossed the line in the ways they portrayed bullying, depression, and suicide in the first season.

We’re sure that whatever Netflix has cooked up this time around is bound to spark a lot of discussion, regardless of whether it comes in the form of praise or critique.

The second season of the series is set to reunite tons of your season 1 favorites including actors Dylan Minnette and Golden Globe nominee Katherine Langford, who play Clay and Hannah.

They’ll be joined by newcomers Anne Winters, Bryce Cass, Chelsea Alden, Alison Miller, Samantha Logan, Kelli O’Hara, and Ben Lawson. Find out more about what they’ll be doing come season 2 here!

Though Netflix hasn’t given an exact date with regards to when season 2 will hit the internet, it’s expected that we’ll see 13 Reasons Why return sometime in 2018.
