Don’t forget! The third book in the illustrated Harry Potter series will be released in less than two weeks, and we’ve just received a very special preview.

The Marauder’s Map is one of the most iconic items in J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World series, and it makes its fictional debut in Prisoner of Azkaban. Unsurprisingly, Illustrated Series artist Jim Kay tackled the map for the forthcoming book, and it lives up to expectations.

A preview posted to YouTube reveals an incredible amount of detail in the Prisoner of Azkaban Illustrated Edition’s Marauder’s Map. I hope it takes up two full pages of the book when it’s released next month! I’ll probably spend a lot of time appreciating all of the little nooks and crannies at Hogwarts.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: The Illustrated Edition will be out on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. Sorcerer’s Stone and Chamber of Secrets were respectively released in October 2015 and October 2016. These books are must-haves for fans thanks to the spot-on interpretations of Rowling’s series. There were roughly 100 illustrations in each of the first two books and we expect roughly the same for #3. Pre-order POA below:
