Princess Sophie Audouin-Mamikonian is not your typical princess. In fact, she’s a prolific author who works hard to perfect her writing. See what it is like to be in the shoes of a princess author.

I’m a princess. A real one. I know, there aren’t many of us anymore. If we reduce our species anymore, I think that they will put some of us in a zoo for reproduction in captivity.

I’m heir to the throne of Armenia and her Royal Highness. When you think of my life, what do you think? Do you think of me like this?

Yes, I know. I’m a bit ridiculous and look like a blond dolphin.

Or like this?

The princess in her castle?

Or like this?

The perfect family?

Or even like this?

With stars like Randy Jackson in L.A.?

Well, not really. I am more like that:

Or like this:

Or even like this:

And 90% of my life, I am like this:

I work 15 hours a day, every day, in my library, where I have 12,000 books exclusively dedicated to fantasy and science fiction.

I’m known in 26 countries because of my two series, Tara Duncan, the competitor of Harry Potter, that I wrote before J.K. Rowling, and Indiana Teller, my werewolf story.

Indiana is like Mowgli, my model (I love Kipling so much!). Werewolves have raised him, but he is not, unfortunately for him, a werewolf, even though he’s the grandson of the Chief of the Pack and his heir.

I’m a very funny princess and like to share my sense of humor. My uncle wrote The Birdcage and Dinner for Schmucks, which proves that humor is really in our blood.

Now, enjoy and have fun with Indiana!

All the best,
HRH Princess Sophie Audouin-Mamikonian
