The man everyone loves to suspect will return to Pretty Little Liars for a longer arc than we initially thought. Does this mean he’s guilty?

The Pretty Little Liars creator, Marlene King, has been calling season 7 the “season of homecomings,” and so far, it’s proving to be true. In Pretty Little Liars season 7, episode 8, alone, we saw Paige McCullers and Mrs. Grunwald return.

While some characters may just be coming back for one final appearance before the show ends, it looks like at least one more Pretty Little Liars character won’t just be coming home, he’ll be staying.

We’ve known for a while that Julian Morris would reprise his role as Rosewood’s favorite Brit, Wren Kingston in the final episode of season 7A, titled “The Darkest Knight,” but now, THR is reporting that he will also appear in season 7B.

Season 7B won’t premiere until winter 2017, so we’ll have to wait a while to see more of Wren, but the fact that his arc is now longer than one episode could point to a greater purpose for his character.

There’s a lot of speculation surrounding Wren, and even some soft evidence that he could be one of the masterminds behind the torture of the Liars. There has to be some reason why he’s leaving his current home in London and returning to Rosewood. Could it be to finish what he started?

A cool way to end the Pretty Little Liars series (if Wren is A/Uber A/A.D.) would be for fans to find out his identity at the end of season 7A. Then, we could watch the Liars scramble to discover what we already know, and also watch the culprit pull off some of their crazy schemes.

Even if Wren isn’t involved in the A game, it will be great to get more of his character, and see what he has been up to for the past few years.
