UPDATE: Read our recap of the episode right here!

Ezra is back…

At the end of season four’s summer finale “Now You See Me, Now You Don’t” Ezra (Ian Harding) was revealed to the audience as a member of the A Team. Hypable covered extensively the debate by fans over whether or not Ezra was truly bad, and executive producers Oliver Goldstick and Marlene King seemed to hint in that direction. Aria (Lucy Hale) and the rest of the Pretty Little Liars are unaware that Ezra is potentially their enemy and the mastermind behind their destruction and Ali’s (Sasha Pieterse) death. Instead they stumbled onto his lair and left just before Ezra could catch them. Ezra will be in “Grave New World” and is dressed in what looks to be a uniform from the First World War. With the audience knowing more than the girls, it will be interesting to see how Ezra’s menacing nature shines through.

Haleb

Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) are a fan favorite couple on Pretty Little Liars and this episode will serve as their swan song in many ways. Tyler Blackburn is starring in the new ABC Family drama Ravenswood which premieres tonight after Pretty Little Liars. Ashley Benson revealed that she will be visiting Caleb in Ravenswood at some point however both actors have hinted towards new love interests for their characters. It is unclear what exactly will happen to Haleb however fans should be ready for tears.

Ali

Ali will be seen in some shape and form in the Halloween episode in the infamous red coat. In the summer finale Aria, Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Emily (Shay Mitchell), and Hanna chased down two red coats to find out answers. One of the red coats turned out to be Cece Drake (Vanessa Ray) and she claimed that she was protecting Ali. It is unclear if this photo of Ali in a red coat is from a flashback moment or if she is actually alive. According to Marlene King, Pretty Little Liars fans will discover whether or not Ali is alive in “Grave New World”. In an interview with Wetpaint King stated, “We’ll find out in the Halloween episode once and for all if Ali is alive or not. It really informs where we go when we come back in January, which we’re really excited about.”

Ezria

Aria and Ezra are another favorite couple on Pretty Little Liars, despite the appearance of her new boyfriend Jake (Ryan Guzman). Fans have rooted for this illicit teacher underage student relationship from the start due to the chemistry between the stars. Now that viewers are aware of Ezra’s true nature, it is imperative that fans watch Aria as she does not yet know this information. This episode has the potential to make Pretty Little Liars fans view Ezria in a whole new light. Are you still rooting for Ezra and Aria to be together?

Costumes

The girls’ costumes are pretty ridiculous and date from the Victorian era. All of the girls look to be uncomfortable in the stills and took the costume party concept more seriously than last year. We are interested to see how the Pretty Little Liars manage to escape the situations that will befall them while wearing corsets.

Ravenswood

Ravenswood has a different feel from Rosewood and the Pretty Little Liars are drawn in by it each time. Last time viewers saw Ravenswood Emily was kidnapped and Cece almost died. The colors and tone of the show are muted in Ravenswood and the spookiness level increases dramatically. Plus if you’re worried about losing Caleb to the new spinoff, what better way to make sure he settles in alright then by watching him in his town.

It will get you in the Halloween spirit

What better way to prepare yourself for Halloween then by watching Pretty Little Liars’ Halloween episode “Grave New World”? The episode is set in a graveyard in Ravenswood thus achieving a spooky feel while featuring four teens who are left in the dark about some information, which is a classic horror movie trope. The Pretty Little Liars episode continues ABC Family’s 13 Nights of Halloween annual extravaganza helping you celebrate the holiday a bit early. Plus it will give you an excuse to eat your Halloween candy early after stress from the episode.
