On tonight’s episode of Pretty Little Liars, Ezra presents Aria with a proposition that could change her life.
This week’s episode of Pretty Little Liars opens up to the Liars and Caleb all catching up on the storage unit drama. The barrel isn’t everyone’s main problem, though, as Aria is struggling with whether she should tell Ezra the truth about how she got into Talmidge or not while Emily is busy trying to make sure Tahlia isn’t macking on Aria’s beau.
Aria finally meets up with Ezra and shows him the letter she wrote to Talmidge in a desperate attempt to get into college. Ezra is surprisingly cool about the entire thing; at least he’s pretending to be.
Ashley tells Hanna that she doesn’t plan on telling Ted the truth about sleeping with Jason. She thinks it’s a solid plan but we all know that “A” will find a way to publicize the truth. She even goes to get lunch with Jason that afternoon so that she can officially quit her job. We’re betting this isn’t the last of these two.
Hanna decides that she won’t stand idly by as she gets framed by “A” so she and Caleb head to the storage locker so they can move the barrel. Side note: if Caleb’s main concern was the cameras then maybe they should have tried to cover up their faces. They’re only dealing with murder, though, so we guess concealing their identity must not be too much of a concern.
When Hanna and Caleb finally break into the unit, they find that it has been completely emptied out except for the barrel. They decide they need to move it but before they have a chance they run into a very displeased Toby and Det. Tanner.
While all of this is going on Spencer sees that Mona’s laptop has changed location. The girls figure out that Hanna must have broken into the storage room and decide to follow the laptop. They end up at an old ice cream factory and decide to split up in the pitch black factory because they have learned from years of experience that this is the smartest way to handle situations.
Spencer finds the laptop in a sealed room and it is playing a video of Hanna and Caleb talking about their plan to move the barrel. Aria comes in to join her and within moments they get locked in the room and the temperature begins to drop. It’s as if Spencer has learned nothing from her last venture with Caleb in that giant oven. Luckily Emily shows up and is able to set them free after hitting a few metal things with a wrench.
Later that night, Aria and Ezra are having a celebratory dinner in Aria’s honor. Ezra chooses this as the perfect time to breakup with Aria because he thinks that Aria’s letter was truer than she initially realized. He doesn’t want her to grow to resent him for holding her back while she’s in college.
Emily heads to The Brew so she can close up. She runs into Tahlia in the kitchen who is busy cooking up something delicious. After nearly scorching the apples Tahlia was making, Emily decides to wait outside until she is done. After a bit, Tahlia emerges with a plate of mashed potatoes for Em and tells her that she was never interested in Ezra and was only ever interested in Emily.
Another relationship seems to be on the rocks when Spencer gives Toby a call later that night. He won’t reveal what was found in the barrel and blows off Spencer when she asks him to come over. It seems like Officer Toby has finally chosen a side.
The episode ends with black hoodie at the ice cream factory. We can see that the evidence from the storage unit has been moved there and that he/she has found a set of one of the Liar’s fingerprints inside the factory.
