On tonight’s episode of Pretty Little Liars, Spencer and Caleb find more than they bargained for when looking for Mona’s laptop.

This week’s episode of Pretty Little Liars opens up to all of the girls at The Brew finally filling each other in on all of their secrets. Well, not exactly the whole truth, but Spencer does tell them about the knife and Emily reveals that she won’t be visiting Paige in California anymore.

After the girls head out, Aria sticks around so she can talk to Ezra. She grabs a cup of coffee from Emily and the cash register starts spitting out a never-ending receipt with Aria’s letter to Jackie printed on it. At the very bottom it leaves a message saying, “This kind of lie will stay on your permanent record. -A”

Ezra finally swings by work and when Aria tries to tell him the truth about Talmidge, he interrupts her by saying he can actually help her get into Vassar. She decides she won’t tell him after all. Oh, Aria, you know you’re not getting out of this one so easily.

In a very different college dilemma, Spencer gets into every college she applies to but doesn’t want to go to a single one of them. She has a minor panic attack over the feeling that she’ll never be able to escape “A.” It’s the perfect time for Johnny to stop by and ask for some supplies to make his own paint. So far he seems like a harmless, dumpster-diving pretty boy who’s a little skittish around policemen. Basically he’s super normal for this town.

Hanna comes home from the The Brew and is expecting to see Jason but instead finds her mom making waffles for Ted. Hanna immediately confronts her after Ted walks outside, but Ashley says she doesn’t want to talk about it.

Presumably, Holbrooke sends Aria a text telling her to meet him to talk, but based on the “#WhoIsH” popping up in the corner of the screen we’re betting it isn’t actually Holbrooke.

Spencer gets an alert on her phone from none other than Mona Vanderwaal. It’s Caleb to the rescue when he does his hacker magic and locates Mona’s laptop at a storage unit. Hanna gets a call from Ted, who asks her to meet with him, so she can’t go along with Spencer and Caleb to the storage unit.

Aria is waiting for “H” but ends up bumping into Jason when “H” doesn’t show up. Apparently he was supposed to meet up with Ashley for lunch, but when she cancels he asks Aria to lunch. They begin discussing Ali and Jason tells her that the police think they had a second person helping her out with Mona’s murder. Aria gets another text from “H” saying to meet in an hour but when she heads there she is only met with a bouquet of roses instead.

Emily is running into serious issues with her new co-worker Talia. She wants to come in and change everything about they way The Brew is run. She tries to make amends by having a bit of girl talk with Emily, but it seems to upset Em more than anything.

At the storage center, Spencer and Caleb are discussing how to get into the unit when they run into Mrs. Horowitz, a teacher from Rosewood. She tells Spencer that a weird smell has been coming from that storage unit and that the owner is a girl with long blond hair.

The Caleb and Spencer Tag Team manage to get into the storage unit by going through the air ducts. Inside they find Mona’s laptop as well as a ton of police evidence from Mona’s case. They also find a closed barrel and they believe that Mona is inside, but before they can find out the lights turn off.

When Hanna meets up with Ted, she finds out that he wants to propose to Ashley at dinner. That night Aria shows up at Hanna’s house and interrupts dinner. The roses are addressed to Ashley from Jason, but luckily Hanna gets to them before Ashley can see them. Without the roses to stand in the way, Ted proposes to Ashley in a way that every girl always dreams of — through a giant cookie. Ashley needs time to think and finally decides she needs to ultimately tell Ted the truth about Jason.

Over a nice game of Scrabble, it seems as if Toby and Spencer are starting to get past the knife incident. It doesn’t last very long, though, because once Spencer steps away for one second Toby picks up her phone and sees a text from Caleb saying, “I found something.” Toby is so not down with the two of them and tells her the snooping has to stop and he storms out.

Caleb keeps trying to get in touch with Spencer because he’s found something huge. When she won’t answer, Caleb shows up at Hanna’s house and reveals that the storage unit is leased in her name.

The episode ends with a figure in a black hoodie walking into Holbrooke’s office and logging into his computer.
