Pretty Little Liars dealt with the aftermath of last week’s arrest in the fourth season’s seventh episode “Crash and Burn, Girl!” which featured the girls coming together, another family in danger, and a new team formed.

“Crash and Burn, Girl” began with Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Emily (Shay Mitchell) still fielding the awkward tension after Toby’s (Keegan Allen) refusal to tell the Pretty Little Liars causes a riff. Aria (Lucy Hale) tries to keep the tension under wraps and help Hanna (Ashley Benson) after her mother’s (Laura Leighton) arrest.

As the Pretty Little Liars come together, Hanna confides in Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) and tries to keep him safe. Little does she know, he and Toby have teamed up to solve the A team mystery.

Emily’s mom (Nia Peeples) and Emily worry over their financial circumstances as she looks to fix her shoulder. Emily’s mom wants her distance herself from Hanna and her mother’s reputation. Mike (Cody Christian) and Aria talk about Connor’s damaged car as Mike denies any responsibility for the destruction.

Hanna and Ashley have a heart-to-heart in jail as Ashley is having a hard time dealing with the situation while Hanna wants to know her mom will get out of jail. Caleb and Toby search down the plane that Red Coat traveled in the night that she met with the Pretty Little Liars and Mona at the lodge. While Emily worries about Shana’s (Aeriel Miranda) absence, Ezra (Ian Harding) comforts Hanna as she faces stares at Rosewood High.

Mr. Hackett confronts Aria over his suspicion about Mike’s involvement in the vandalism. Aria defends Mike despite her misgivings. Aria is forced to relay her suspicions and the rumor to her father (Chad Lowe) as the police become involved. Spencer tells Hanna that her mother’s case looks dire while Toby and Caleb bribe a flight center associate, Nigel, to look up Red Coat’s flight. Little do they know that he was involved with the flight, and he calls someone right after they leave.

The Pretty Little Liars, sans Hanna, break into Wilden’s (Bryce Johnson) apartment while the boys figure out that Nigel was involved due to his lighter that was found at the scene. The girls discover a note from A at Wilden’s that could refer to the night of the fire.

Ezra attempts to help Aria as Mike meets with the principal, and Emily’s mom gets into trouble for the missing key. Caleb and Toby confront Nigel, who tells half-truths and runs out of there, but not before Caleb lifts his phone and Nigel says Cece Drake was involved.

Ezra and the principal each threaten one another as Ezra tries to protect Mike. Toby thinks that Cece could be the blonde girl his mother’s doctor warned him about. Mike tells Aria about Ezra’s involvement while he still denies that he vandalized the car. Emily’s mother was suspended from the police station the day after Emily stole the key. This does not seem like a coincidence, especially after A tells Emily so.

Ezra and Aria have another awkward run-in as she attempts to say thank you. Hanna tries to convince Ashley to plead guilty in order to get a larger charge. Ashley refuses as she believes in her innocence and the power of the truth.

Nigel is seen talking to a mysterious figure with sunglasses and apologizing for Caleb stealing his phone. Do you think this could be Jenna (Tammin Sursok)?

Emily tries to return the key as her mom talks with her dad when a car crashes through their living room window. Emily and her mom escape unharmed, but not before having their house destroyed.

Pretty Little Liars airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC Family.
