One of our favorite Pretty Little Liars couples finally got an epic proposal and the internet has some strong feelings about it.
The proposal that Pretty Little Liars has been teasing finally happened in season 7, episode 5, and it did not disappoint. After spending some time away, Mr. Ezra Fitz got down on one knee to pop the question to his long time love, Miss Aria Marie Montgomery!

Ezra and Aria met in the very first episode of Pretty Little Liars and it’s been a roller-coaster ride ever since. We’ve really been through the ringer with these two. Quite a few times actually!
It all started with:
“Woah that’s a cute buy.”
“Umm, he’s her English teacher?!”
“But he’s a really cute English teacher…”
“OMG true love.”
And then escalated to:
“Uh oh, her parents found out.”
“They can’t see how cute he is!”
“They do make some valid points…”
“OMG true love though!”
Until things got really crazy with:
“Wait, is Ezra A?”
“Oh, he’s just writing a book about them.”
“Hmm that’s kind of creepy to.”
“Oh.Em.Gee. it is totally true love.”
And then they finally culminated with:
“5 years apart? What’s going to happen?”
“Oh no they love other people.”
“Psyche! It was true love all along!”
After all that, Aria (and the fans) deserved a proposal that was worthy of a saga like this one. Of course, Ezra delivered. He is a published author after all. If you haven’t memorized every frame of the proposal yet, you can watch it again here:
Ezra said all those beautiful things…and then silence.
They teased an epic proposal and then gave us a cliffhanger! Classic Pretty Little Liars. There are plenty of reasons why Aria could be hesitating. Maybe she’s concerned that Ezra just received a call from his dead(?) ex-girlfriend that he has not been informed of yet. Maybe she’s thinking that she just helped commit a murder that she doesn’t want to get him caught up in. Maybe, she just doesn’t know if she wants to marry him *gasp*.

No matter what Aria’s response is, this perfectly crafted proposal and the exquisite ring that went along with it deserves to be celebrated. That is, unless you don’t ship Ezria. Either way, we heard you, and we’ve compiled some of the best reactions to the #PLLProposal.
