Pretty Little Liars looks to continue Spencer’s (Troian Bellisario) downward spiral in a mental health facility based on recent photos and the synopsis for the March 5 “Can the Circle Be Unbroken” episode released by the ABC Family show.

As evident in the synopsis for “Can the Circle Be Unbroken,” Spencer will disappear despite possibly revealing to her friends what has been going on in this week’s Pretty Little Liars episode “Hot Water.” “Spencer hasn’t been herself lately, but has she had enough to just disappear? Could ‘A’ have done something to her? These are all questions that Aria, Emily and Hanna are asking themselves when Spencer goes missing. But when it turns out even her family doesn’t know where Spencer has gone to, the girls frantically search for answers hoping their worst fears aren’t true. But where Spencer does turn up at, maybe she doesn’t want to be found. Meanwhile, Emily gets the surprise of a lifetime when she meets Gold Medalist Missy Franklin.”

Based on the photos, it looks like Mona (Janel Parrish) is fully aware of Spencer’s whereabouts and despite questioning by Emily (Shay Mitchell), Aria (Lucy Hale), and Hanna (Ashley Benson), she will not reveal her status. Do you think Spencer was voluntarily committed or do you think Mona forced her into the facility? Do you think Spencer’s bandaged wrist suggests a possible suicide attempt?

Are you excited to see Missy Franklin appear on Pretty Little Liars? Did you enjoy Gabrielle Douglas’ appearance on The Vampire Diaries and Ryan Lochte’s appearances on 90210 and 30 Rock?
