In preparation for tomorrow’s Pretty Little Liars’ Halloween episode “This is a Dark Ride”, ABC Family has released new details about when Pretty Little Liars will return for its winter season.

Pretty Little Liars will renew its third season on a more regular basis on January 8. The show will compete against CBS’ NCIS, NBC’s The Voice, and ABC’s Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars in this time slot however the shows usually don’t attract the same audiences. A show that may attract similar audiences is the CW’s Hart of Dixie. Will you stay true to Pretty Little Liars? Do you plan to watch Hart of Dixie on DVR?

The plot for the January 8 episode is Mona (Janel Parrish) heavy. Mona has evolved into a complex and devious character this season. Are you excited to see more Mona? The spoiler filled synopsis is below.

“Radley Sanitarium has given Mona a clean bill of health and she is headed back to the halls of Rosewood High, much to the Liars’ dismay. With their former tormentor now back in their everyday life, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer take very different views of the “new” Mona. Sure she made their lives a living hell, but is she really cured? And what other secrets could she be holding onto? It is up to Mona to prove to the Liars if she has changed or not.”
