Pretty Little Liars season 7, episode 7, “Original G’A’ngsters,” was a regular DiLaurentis family reunion.

Jason DiLaurentis is back! Jessica DiLaurentis is back! Mary Drake had a second child! Aria is here too! Woah. If Alison was worried about being alone, she definitely doesn’t have to be anymore. This episode was absolutely crawling with DiLaurentis’! Of course, Kenneth was far too busy with whatever the hell he’s doing to make an appearance at the reunion.

Don’t worry, I’m not just going to breeze by the one DiLaurentis that we were by far the most excited to see. A much shaggier haired Jason finally returned to grace Rosewood with his presence. We’ve missed him since before Charlotte’s death, but apparently not all of the Liars felt his absence for quite as long! Miss Aria Montgomery, you have some explaining to do.

The reveal that they had a relationship at some point in the past 5 years didn’t come as a complete shock. They’ve shown a lot of chemistry in the past and they even kissed in Pretty Little Liars season 2. Their past relationship really has no relevance to the current story as it happened long before she was with Ezra. However, it could be interesting to discover why they were even in the same place during the time jump, since we know so little about Jason’s whereabouts.

Jason didn’t just come back to check on Ali and profess his undying love for Aria (okay, so he probably didn’t come to do that at all). He also came to kick Mary Drake to the curb. We learned that he was doing some work with children with the Carissimi Group, and he wasn’t too pleased when all of the organization’s money was stolen.

Although he believes that Mary was involved in stealing the money, Alison asserts that she had nothing to do with it, because apparently Ali and Mary are BFFs now…? As for the Pretty Little Liars fans, we still have no idea what to believe! Mary Drake is still shrouded in mystery, but she did add a few pieces to the puzzle in this episode.

Jessica’s reappearance on the show definitely didn’t gain her any sympathy points. We learned that she authorized electroshock therapy for her sister, lied to her about her child being dead, and also kept a secret lair that she used to spy on the Liars.

Jessica’s lair was the coolest piece of evidence that we’ve seen on Pretty Little Liars in a while. Alison deduced that she used the lair to find her when she was missing, which means that Jessica knew Alison was alive the entire time. That’s probably true, but she wouldn’t need all those pictures of the other girls just to find Alison. There was definitely something more happening with that lair.

The one piece of concrete information that we learned in the lair was that Mary Drake had a second child, and that they would be around the Liars’ age. Alison seemed concerned that it might be her, or that she may have another secret family member running around, but I’m casting my vote here and now for Spencer. Mary Drake has interacted with Spencer way more than any of the others, and there’s always so much weight to their conversations. Also, the show has made them look strangely similar.

On top of the DiLaurentis family drama, this episode also continued the Sara Harvey mystery that nobody really cares about solving. Jenna seemed quite upset about her death, but she calmed down pretty quickly on that massage table. Their plan to distract her to get the computer was good, but I can’t tell you how many times during this episode I screamed at my TV for the Liars to stop talking so close to Jenna! This girl has proven that she has borderline bionic hearing before, ladies.

The one person linking every mystery together in Pretty Little Liars season 7, episode 7, was Noel Kahn. He broke into Toby’s airway to retrieve Mary Drake’s file and he also came into Jenna’s hotel room while talking to a Dr. Cochran about running out of time and patience. We’ve never met a Dr. Cochran on Pretty Little Liars, but it’s possible he was trying to find information about Mary Drake’s second child.

On top of that, he almost definitely wrote “I See You,” on Spencer’s car. He wrote the exact same thing to Aria and Ezra at Mona’s glamping party. Of course, it could have been a copycat, but the fact that Noel’s file was the one taken from Jessica’s lair and destroyed points directly to him as well. The fact that Noel did all of these things doesn’t necessarily mean that he’s A.D., but he’s certainly not innocent.

We learned two things about A.D. in Pretty Little Liars season 7, episode 7. The first, is that A.D. knows that the Liars killed Elliot/Archer. The second, is that A.D. does not want the Liars to die. They actually made sure that the Liars were locked safely in their car before they blew up the cellar. Sure, this could mean that A.D. has a soft spot for the Liars, but it’s more likely that they still need them for something.

Guys…I’m worried about Ezra. Noel’s file wasn’t the only one taken from the lair. Aria’s was taken as well. This wouldn’t ordinarily make me suspicious, but the other Ezria events in the episode have me worried. The episode ended with the event we all knew was going to happen. Nicole is (probably) alive. The FBI showed up to deliver the news just as Ezra and Aria were about to embark on their journey to Tuscany.

I could go into how it’s completely unrealistic that the FBI showed up at her boyfriend’s house rather than her parents’, since they’re not even engaged, but let’s not kid ourselves about realism here. They probably just came to Ezra’s door because that’s the most dramatic solution, but it could also be because they suspect him of something. This is sketchy, but not the reason I’m worried about him.

Why was Ezra so eager to get married that day? I completely understand being overwhelmed with planning a wedding and wanting to reduce the size of it, but what’s the rush? Aria was completely on the fence about eloping, and he basically pushed her onto a plane and over to another continent. This, along with the FBI and the file will have me keeping a close eye on Mr. Fitz in the next few episodes.

Spoby and Haleb also got some screen time in Pretty Little Liars season 7, episode 7. Poor Spencer has shed way too many tears in season 7. I’m sure Toby’s heart was in the right place, but telling Spencer that he was building the house for her really just twisted the knife of him leaving even more. I’m sure this isn’t the last we’ll see of Toby, but Spencer could probably use some time to breathe after that goodbye.

As for Haleb, I was just really happy that they didn’t kiss in this episode. Caleb hasn’t even come close to redeeming himself yet, and the more quickly he moves in on Hanna, the less likely I’ll be to ever forgive his actions. The one thing I hate is how Hanna is downplaying her relationship with Jordan. She’s not the type of girl to get engaged for no reason. He may not have been “the one,” but he wasn’t nothing. This love triangle has made things way too confusing. Let’s hope it’s over for good.
