AMC’s highly-anticipated new series, Preacher, is coming soon, and we just got new images of the main cast.
Preacher stars Dominic Cooper in the titular role about a man, Jesse Custer, in a small Texas town who is inhabited by a mysterious entity that allows him to develop a highly unconventional power. Jesse, his ex-girlfriend Tulip (Ruth Negga), and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) embark on a journey to, literally, find God.
In the new images released for AMC’s drama, we see character shots of all three members of the trio, with Jesse lighting up in a church, Tulip sitting in a car, and Cassidy downing a bottle of booze. Rogen initially tweeted the images, which you can see in larger dimensions below:

All three images are from Preacher season 1, episode 1, and the two-hour pilot, directed by Rogen and Evan Goldberg, will premiere at the South by Southwest Festival next week.
In November, we reported on the trailer for Preacher, which gave us a fantastic look at the tone of the show. If The Walking Dead and Into the Badlands are anything to go by, Preacher is probably going to be as dark and violent as we’ve been hoping.
Rogen is certainly excited to be showing off his project at SXSW next week, where he’ll be able to see how fans of the comic book series react to the adaptation.
