Ludi Lin, who played the Black Ranger in the surprisingly enjoyable Power Rangers reboot, is joining Jason Momoa in DC’s Aquaman.

Via The Wrap, Chinese actor Ludi Lin has landed the role of Murk in James Wan’s Aquaman. Lin is fresh off the success of Power Rangers, where he played Zack the Black Ranger.

In the comics, Murk is Aquaman’s trusted ally, an Atlantean who has trained to become the leader of Atlantis’ front-line army, known as the Men-of-War. He once accompanied Aquaman on a mission to stop Captain Moller, who was whaling with an Atlantean weapon.

The movie is set to come out on December 21, 2018, following Aquaman’s stint in this summer’s Justice League.
