By from what we can tell, most people who have been to Pottermore only visit when there is new content to enjoy from J.K. Rowling.

Pottermore had opened all of Sorcerer’s Stone at once, but has since been opening Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban in batches.

This appears to have been a move to get people coming back to the site multiple times a season instead of visiting to get through the just-released content in one sitting, and then not returning to the site until the next book debuts.

In a new interview on Pottermore-News.com, Pottermore CEO’s Charlie Redmayne admits most people only return for the new content. “Quite a lot of people don’t spend enough time, sort of coming back to the site until we have a new content release,” he says. “So, I think the best way of answering that question is that we are aware of that, and you will see change.”

What is the change he’s talking about? “We will continue to evolve the site by adding new content to it for people to enjoy, new content from J.K. Rowling, and to have new stuff for the fans. There will also be other changes that we will start to make, to invite new Harry Potter fans to discover more about the world; people who may have only read a couple of the books or seen a couple of the movies. Pottermore needs to work for that audience too.”

While details aren’t being revealed yet, we imagine these changes will have to be quite major and will take a bit of time to implement. Could they double down on the amount of content Rowling offers up on the site to get fans more interested? On one hand, fans wouldn’t complain. On the other, they’d rather have a lot of this material premiere in a Harry Potter encyclopedia.

What would you like to see in Pottermore that you think could improve the overall experience?
