Today via the Pottermore Insider, J.K. Rowling’s interactive website announced that soon a House Cup will be awarded.
Finally all those House Points will be put to use! They write:
Those points have been gathering and, with the numbers building up to impressive heights, we can now announce that the Pottermore House Cup will be awarded soon!
The house with the greatest number of points will win the Pottermore House Cup, so keep up the duelling and brewing.
We’ll be posting updates regarding the Pottermore House Cup both on the Insider and on the Pottermore Gateway, but also somewhere else…
No word yet on what the House Cup may look like or how Pottermore will celebrate the winner, but we’ll be sure to share any artwork when it’s revealed.
It’s no secret who may win the House Cup. Gryffindor and Slytherin are in a tight race, the former having the slight lead at the time of this writing. The current rankings are available in the Great Hall:
– Gryffindor: 65,680,278 points
– Ravenclaw: 64,888,591 points
– Hufflepuff: 56,946,604 points
– Slytherin: 65,682,243 points
In addition, Pottermore launched a Noticeboard which can be seen in each of the House’s Common Rooms. Gryffindor’s can be seen below:
