A brand new poster for David O. Russell’s Silver Linings Playbook has arrived online as the film gets its premiere in Toronto.

The film is based on the debut novel by Matthew Quick, and follows the story of Pat (Cooper), a former high school history teacher who has recently been released from a mental institution and placed into the care of his mother (Jacki Weaver) and father (Robert De Niro). Pat is determined to rebuild his life and marriage despite the difficult circumstances of their separation. All Pat’s parents want is for him to get back on his feet — and to share their family’s obsession with the Philadelphia Eagles football team. When Pat meets Tiffany (Lawrence), a mysterious girl struggling with problems of her own, things get complicated. Tiffany offers to help Pat reconnect with his wife, but only if he’ll do something very important for her in return. As their deal plays out, an unexpected bond begins to form between them, and silver linings appear in both of their lives.

Here’s the poster below, which seems to take its title quite literally.

Reviews for the film out of Toronto have been terrific, although the film doesn’t get a domestic release until November 21. Are you interested in seeing this? What do you think of the poster?
