Lena Dunham and Lily Collins are gearing up to bring Polly Pocket to the big screen.

According to Variety, Polly Pocket will be the latest beloved toy to get the live-action treatment on the big screen.

The forthcoming movie has already found its star in Emily in Paris vet Lily Collins, who will take on the titular role as the tiny doll.

Behind the camera, Girls alum Lena Dunham will serve as writer and director on the movie.

The movie is set to focus on a young girl who forms a friendship with a pocket-sized woman.

In a statement announcing her involvement with the Polly Pocket movie, Collins (who will also serve as a producer on the movie) said: “As a child who was obsessed with Polly Pocket, this is a real dream come true and I can’t wait to bring these tiny toys to the big screen.”

Dunham, like Collins, spoke of her love for the toys as a child, adding that the toys in question “were responsible for countless hours of childhood escapism.”

“Polly gave me a tiny world of magic and autonomy to narrate, so it’s pretty poetic to be tackling these same ideas now as a director collaborating with the brilliant Lily Collins, Robbie Brenner, Mattel and MGM,” said Dunham. “I’m so thrilled to bring to bear both my love of this historic property and also my deep-seated belief that young women need smart playful films that speak to them without condescension.”

Currently, there’s no word on when we can expect to see Lena Dunham’s Polly Pocket movie starring Lily Collins hit the big screen.
