The ’90s toy on the top of every kid’s wish list will come back soon with a Pokémon Tamagotchi fit to please any Eevee fan.

The Pokémon Tamagotchi is actually the first of its kind, in that the Pokémon Pikachu toy was not associated with the Tamagotchi brand. However, it fit the same vein of what all Tamagotchi toys do: feed and care for your digital pet to make it happy.

The Eevee Tamagotchi first appeared in a leaked image detailing the Pokémon toy. According to Serebii, who warns that the image, while seemingly credible, is still unconfirmed, the Tamagotchi will allow you to evolve Eevee into any given one of its 8 evolutions.

There are different training means to get your Eevee to evolve into an Espeon, Jolten, or Sylveon, for instance. Also, there will be a special “Colorful Friends” shell of the Tamagotchi, differing only in appearance from the standard Eevee Tamagotchi.

Other variations of Eevee will be coded into the Tamagotchi, including a Team Rocket Eevee, a Ditto Eevee, and an Eevee wearing a flower. Being a fan-favorite Pokémon, and one featured on the box art for the upcoming Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! video game, the brown fox-like Pokémon’s Tamagotchi will be a hot ticket item when it hits store shelves.

Nintendo released a similar toy in 2002 called the Pokémon Breeder mini. The Pokémon Breeder mini continued the Pokémon Pikachu toy line, and tasked players with caring for a given Hoenn starter after it hatched out of its egg. The Pokémon Pikachu toy acted as a pedometer, which is a feature that is likely going to come back in the Eevee Pokémon Tamagotchi.

The Pokémon Tamagotchi’s potential official announcement would be timed well, seeing as the first Pokémon game for the Nintendo Switch, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Eevee!, are releasing on November 16, 2018.
