The international release for the anime special Pokémon Origins was confirmed with an international trailer. Find out where you’ll be able to watch it!

The trailer for the anime special Pokémon Origins confirmed that there will be translated dubs of the cartoon that follows the adventures of Red, the protagonist for the video games Pokémon Red and Blue.

Watch the trailer, which unfortunately doesn’t show any new footage, below.

Fans will be able to watch Pokémon Origins in two ways. One is via the iOS and Android app Pokémon TV. They will also be able to watch the special on the PokémonTv.com website.

Pokémon Origins will be released in four separate parts, as was confirmed by today’s press release from The Pokémon Company. The first episode will go live on November 15, with the other three arriving sometime after.

The confirmation that the anime special will have at least English dubs is likely a relief for many English-speaking fans.

Previously, it was unveiled that Red will have out-of-battle dialogue, something the video game character hasn’t displayed before. Watch the footage of Red speaking in Pokémon Origins, along with more footage in the Japanese trailers for the four-part video game-based anime here.

The official synopsis of Pokémon Origins reads:

Pokémon Origins tells the story of the very first Pokémon video games, Pokémon Red Version and Pokémon Blue Version, including the first steps of our hero Red as he sets off from Professor Oak’s laboratory. As he explores the Kanto region, he’ll encounter Team Rocket, battle his rival, and challenge the Pokémon League. Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue launched in North America in September 1998.

The Japanese release date for Pokémon Origins is on October 2, exactly 10 days before the release of Pokémon X and Y worldwide on October 12.
