– We get things started with our spoiler-free thoughts on the second season. How did it compare to the first?
– The biggest difference between the seasons? Matt didn’t lose a single cane this time! Well done, Matt.
– Matt’s journey was one of our favorite things in Daredevil season 1, but were we supposed to like him by the end of this one?
– Though he kind of self-destructed, we certainly appreciate that the show didn’t reward him regardless.
– How about our newest player in Hell’s Kitchen, Frank Castle? How did the show handle his character?
– What about the parallels between his motivations and Matt’s? Did the overlap work for us, as well as Frank’s more permanent solution.
– Karen and Frank had one of the more compelling relationships this season, we talk about how much we loved their dynamic.
– Did the framing of Frank’s version of justice change our opinion of other characters in the Marvel universe? For example, Coulson.
– We talk about the successor to season 1’s hallway scene. Was it necessary? Or did we feel another scene was more worthy for comparison.
– What did we think of Elektra, and her relationship with Matt?
– How about her conflicting morality — does Elektra have her own agency, or has it been manipulated and guided by Stick and Matt?
– What is the Black Sky? We’re still not really sure.
– How about the Hand? How were they handled, both plot-wise and in respect to the stereotypical representation of Asian characters?
– Did we get a satisfying resolution to the Hand storyline? Spoiler: Er, not really.
– Aside from her relationship with Frank Castle, did we like the direction they went in with Karen this season?
– How about the other half of Nelson and Murdock? What did we think about Foggy’s development in season 2?
– Do we think that Foggy joining another firm could be putting him on the trajectory to eventually become the DA?
– Claire Temple returned on this season, and has now left Hell’s Kitchen for Harlem. How did they handle shifting her over to Luke Cage?
– Before we wrap up the episode, we talk about the huge bombshell from mid-season — the return of Wilson Fisk.
