– We kick things off with our spoiler-free reactions to Deadpool. What did we love, and what didn’t work for us?
– How do we think the film will hold up in rewatch value?
– It’s spoiler time!
– We’re introduced to Deadpool early on. Were we glad we didn’t have to wait to see him suit up? How did the flashback format work for us?
– What about Wade’s relationship with Vanessa? Did we like the glimpses into it that we got?
– How do we feel the experimentation on Wade was handled?
– We look at Ajax as a villain. Was he too one dimensional, or did we like the deviation from an antagonist obsessed with “world domination?”
– Colossus — what did we think of him compared to versions we’ve seen previously?
– How about Negasonic Teenage Warhead? She has different powers to her comic counterpart — was that an issue for us?
– Was Gina Carano utilised enough as Angel Dust, or was she underused?
– We discuss that final battle, and Vanessa’s role in the big showdown. We don’t all agree…
– Do we think there’s more to Vanessa than meets the eye? We look to her comic book counterpart for some theorizing.
– What about the conclusion to the Ajax and Deadpool showdown? Was that satisfying?
– We touch briefly on Weasel and Blind Al, and their roles in Wade’s life.
– We discuss the R-rating, and whether this might start a trend in Hollywood.
– Would an R-rated Wolverine movie work? Or should they have taken a chance on that earlier?
– So, that after-credits scene. We talk Cable and what that could mean for the Deadpool sequel.
– How about X-Force? How would that fit into the X-Men universe?
– A few listeners have already seen Deadpool and shared their thoughts about the movie — including some interesting insights into dubbing it into a different language!
