Music will play a key role in Pixar’s next original story, Coco, which hits theaters at the end of the year.

Not up for another threequel from Pixar? How about an all-new story directed by Toy Story 3 director Lee Unkrich?

In his latest tale, a boy named Miguel uses the power of music — a banned art in his family — to enter the Land of the Dead.

Coco arrives November 22, 2017. If you can’t wait that long for another Pixar movie, see the studio’s Cars 3 in June.

Pixar’s synopsis for Coco reads: “Despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (voice of Benjamin Bratt).”

“Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael García Bernal), and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.”
