The fifth Pirates of the Caribbean trailer not only brings back Will Turner: the third protagonist, Elizabeth (Keira Knightley), returns as well!

For the main part of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Johnny Depp will be joined by Will and Elizabeth 2.0, played by Brenton Thwaites and Kaya Scodelario. But now we know that both Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) are set to reprise their roles as well!

Orlando Bloom’s involvement has been public knowledge for a while, but there’s been no official confirmation that Knightley would return. The secret is out now, however, as a new international trailer for the movie has revealed her appearance:

Will and Elizabeth’s appearance in this movie will be linked with their now grown-up son Henry (played by Thwaites), who teams up with Captain Jack Sparrow for a new adventure. A rumor last year indicated that Knightley had filmed a secret post-credits scene, which may or may not be where the trailer shot is from.

Interestingly, Elizabeth doesn’t appear to have aged much, despite this movie taking place around 20 years after the third movie, which left Elizabeth alone with her and Will’s son. Will has presumably been serving as the Flying Dutchman’s immortal captain for this time, but what’s Elizabeth’s anti-ageing secret?!

Whatever happens, it’s great to see Elizabeth back in the Pirates franchise, and we hope this movie finally gives Will and Elizabeth a happy ending!
