American Idol season 11 winner Phillip Phillips today announced the title, cover, and release date for his debut album!

The World From The Side Of The Moon will be released November 19. The beautiful cover art is below.

Phillips’ sole song so far is “Home” which debuted after his Idol win earlier this year. To date, it has generated 2 million downloads. He performed another song during the American Idol tour, expected to be on the album, titled “Take Me Away.”

Speaking about the new album to MTV, the country singer said, “There’s a couple of tunes similar to ‘Home,’ maybe I don’t know if they’re quite as sing-a-long, but they’ve got the same feel — hopefully, the ones I’m talking about make it on the album,” he said. “And there’s a lot of other ones that represent what I did on the show; they have the sax in it, the horn section with the electric guitar, the cool drum sounds, because I love crazy drum parts … it’s a little mixture of both.”

Are you still following Phillips’ career, and will you purchase the album next month? We were fans of him early on in the Idol competition.

American Idol judges Randy Jackson, Keith Urban, Nicki Minaj, and Mariah Carey are currently filming audition rounds for season 12.
