Peter Dinklage already has something exciting lined up, post Game of Thrones! He’s attached to star in Sony’s Rumpelstiltskin adaptation.

With shows like Once Upon A Time ending and new properties like Tell Me A Story picking up right where they left off, it’s becoming clear that our obsession with fairy tales is more than just a passing fad. Sony may have realized that, since they’ve made plans to bring the character of Rumpelstiltskin to the big screen in his own movie.

According to EW, Peter Dinklage is now attached to both star in and produce the project! This definitely only makes us more excited to see what this movie has to offer. On top of Dinklage’s involvement, Patrick Ness will reportedly be writing the script for the project.

Unlike the title characters of most fairy tales, Rumpelstiltskin is more of a villain than a hero. His story centers around a girl whom he helps make gold from hay, but he demands her first born child as payment! This is one Grimm fairy tale that was never really sugar coated, so we’ll see how accurately it’s portrayed in this adaptation.

No word yet on when we’ll see Rumpelstiltskin hit the big screen.
