Buffy the Vampire Slayer completed its seven-season run on May 20, 2003. A year later, on May 19, 2004, the spinoff series Angel delivered a spectacular, emotional series finale. And even now, more than 10 years after the fact, both shows still awe and inspire their fans.

Created by Joss Whedon, Buffy and Angel and their respective characters have left a lasting impression on viewers. The themes and storylines are still repeated on television today, and countless books and essays have been written that explore the deeper meanings and underlying messages in the shows.
Buffy and Angel‘s respective leading ladies — Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and Cordelia Chase (Charisma Carpenter) — were both formidable in their own right. Their journeys took them down very different paths, and watching them both grow and change as the shows progressed was both satisfying and, at times, insanely frustrating.
