Clarisse La Rue is the latest character to be added to the Sea of Monsters Compendium.

Clarisse is the daughter of Ares, and as the Compendium entry suggests, she is a talented warrior. This is especially true when she is armed with her spear, though we’re sure any weapon will do in a pinch.
The quote used for her entry, “Don’t worry about always coming in second, Jackson,” can be heard in the first trailer.
In Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan, Clarisse has a substantial role. She is the one who is granted the quest to go after the Golden Fleece. She rescues Percy, Annabeth, and Tyson from the Hydra, and the four of them venture into the Sea of Monsters.
After an event at sea, they arrive at the cave of Polyphemus, where Grover is wearing a wedding dress and trying to postpone his marriage to the cyclops.
Our best look at Clarisse so far has been in the clip where she and Percy compete to reach the top of the obstacle tower first.

News has been coming in fast ahead of the Sea of Monsters release. Just earlier today, we found out what Alexandra Daddario thinks about the relationship between Percy and Annabeth, as well as what the director thinks about having an actor like Nathan Fillion on board.
Sea of Monsters opens up on August 7, starring Logan Lerman (Percy), Alexandra Daddario (Annabeth), Brandon T. Jackson (Grover), Jake Abel (Luke), Leven Rambin (Clarisse), and Douglas Smith (Tyson). Stanley Tucci will play Dionysus, Nathan Fillion will play Hermes, and Anthony Stewart Head will replace Pierce Brosnan as Chiron.
