Wonder Woman 2 has just added another familiar face to its cast!

Narcos star Pedro Pascal has officially signed on to appear in the highly anticipated Wonder Woman sequel.

As exciting as it is to hear that Pascal is joining the cast, it looks like fans will have to wait to find out just how his character will fit into the story.

Major plot details for director Patty Jenkins’ highly anticipated sequel are being kept firmly under wraps, as are details pertaining to the Game of Thrones alumn’s role in the film.

One thing we do know per Variety, who was first to report the news, is that Pascal has signed on for “a key role” in the upcoming superhero movie.

Pascal isn’t the only new face we’ll be seeing alongside Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot, when the film hits the big screen.

Earlier this month we learned that Saturday Night Live veteran Kristen Wiig had officially been tapped to play the film’s villain.

Unlike Pascal’s role, Wiig’s isn’t shrouded in mystery. When her casting was officially announced, we also learned that she’ll be portraying infamous Wonder Woman villain Cheetah in the sequel.

We’ll be excited to find out how Pedro Pascal’s mysterious role fits into the plot of Wonder Woman 2 — specifically, we’ll be interested to find out if he’ll be fighting for or against Diana Prince!

The highly anticipated second installment of the Wonder Woman franchise is slated to start filming this summer at Warner Brothers’ studios in Leavesden.

Wonder Woman 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on November 1, 2019.
