Peacock is pulling the plug on its Punky Brewster revival.

According to Deadline, the Punky Brewster revival at Peacock has officially been cancelled.

The series, which was greenlit by the newly minted streamer back in 2019 found original series star Soleil Moon Frey returning to reprise her role as the titular character from the hit 1908s sitcom.

First premiering in late February of 2021, the revival found viewers picking back up with Punky— now all grown up and living as a single mother of three. While trying to get her life on track, Punky cones face to face with a young girl who reminds her a lot of her younger self.

Others who starred opposite Frye in the short lived revival included Cherie Johnson, Quinn Copeland, Noah Cottrell, Oliver De Los Santos, Lauren Lindsey Donzis, and Freddie Prinze Jr.

Behind the camera, the revival hailed from School of Rock and Grounded for Life vets Steve and Jim Armogida, who served as writers and executive producers on the project.

News of the Punky Brewster revival’s cancellation comes on the heels of word that NBC has opted to renew fellow Peacock revival, Saved by the Bell for a second season.

The aforementioned series are just two of a handful of revivals in the works at the streamer. Also on deck at the streamer is a series reboot of the beloved 90s romcom, Clueless.

As for Punky Brewster, fans can stream all 10 episodes of the first season of the revival right now on Peacock.
