Details about the car accident that killed Fast and Furious star Paul Walker on Saturday are coming to light as police continue their investigation.

Today, authorities ruled out any suspicion of street racing and emphasized that only one vehicle – the one in which Walker was the passenger – was involved.

In addition, a tweet from an NBC News reporter says that the Porsche driven by Walker’s friend Roger Rodas was traveling at 45 miles per hour at the time of the crash in a 15 miles per hour zone.

Walker, 40, and Rodas were driving together in the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT while attending a charity event in Valencia, California his company Reach Out WorldWide was holding. The duo were business partners, and the car was Rodas’. Newspaper reports indicate that at the time of the crash, friends rushed to the car to try and pull the two out, but firefighters backed them away for safety reasons.

Executives at Universal reportedly met on Sunday to discuss how to proceed with Fast & Furious 7, which was on a holiday break from shooting in Atlanta at the time of Walker’s death. The film will reportedly be delayed, but production is scheduled to continue despite the loss of one of the lead stars. It is currently slated to be released July 2014 and was on a tight filming schedule to accommodate the quickly approaching release date.

The film has reportedly shot most of its scenes, though shoots were scheduled to take place as late as January.

Fast aside, a new film titled Hours starring Walker will be released later this month and tells the story of a father’s attempt to keep his daughter alive in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
