A very important candy-magnate, one-time politician and full-time man-child will be returning to Pawnee for Parks and Rec season 7.

Of all the challenges Leslie Knope has faced, defeating Sweetums Empire beneficiary Bobby Newport in a city council election tops the list. Sure, Bobby may have been useless but he had plenty of money and was portrayed by a rakishly handsome comedian. Now Entertainment Weekly reports that said rakishly handsome comedian, Paul Rudd, will be returning to Parks and Rec to portray Bobby Newport for the show’s seventh and final season.

This would mark the first time Rudd has appeared on Parks and Rec since the season 4 finale. Since Parks and Rec season 7 will be the last, however, showrunner Michael Schur seems eager to get as many old friends back as possible.

“He’s the world’s nicest human being —- and the funniest,” Schur told EW. “We made a list of all the people that we wanted to have back and he was high on the list, so we managed to snag him.”

There’s no word on what episode Rudd will be returning for or exactly why Bobby Newport needs to descend from his Sweetums mansion to interact with Leslie and company. Schur says Ben needs someone for a role that Bobby Newport would be perfect for. Unless that role is best exasperated pouter and eye-roller, we’re at a loss.

Rudd joins an increasingly-long list of former Parks and Rec stars popping back in for the final season that now includes Rashida Jones, Rob Lowe, Jon Hamm and Megan Mullally
