Avengers star Paul Bettany is re-teaming with Ron Howard for the Han Solo anthology movie.

Finally, someone is joining the untitled Han Solo-centric Star Wars movie rather than leaving it!

Ron Howard is currently hard at work tweaking the Han Solo movie, having taken over the directing gig from Phil Lord and Chris Miller (who themselves replaced Gareth Edwards), to his liking, and one of the changes he is overseeing is the addition of Paul Bettany.

Bettany is best known to genre fans for his role as Vision in the Avengers movies, but he and Howard have worked together before: Howard directed Bettany in both A Beautiful Mind and The Da Vinci Code.

It is unclear whether Paul Bettany is playing a new character or replacing Michael K. Williams in an existing role. Deadline alleges that the two are different, and that Williams’ character will no longer be appearing.

Howard posted a picture of himself and Bettany on Twitter, captioning it “The Outer Rim just got a little bit wilder.”

No word on what character he’s playing although, if he is in costume, he looks similarly dressed to Han Solo himself.

The Han Solo movie stars Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke, Woody Harrelson, Thandie Newton and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. It has a set release date of May 25, 2018.
