The word “amazing” gets thrown around on the internet all too regularly these days, but Patton Oswalt’s Star Wars pitch on Parks & Rec was truly worthy of the adjective.

Now, someone has animated the entire piece, which adds to the hilarity.

Background: Oswalt appeared on a recent episode of NBC’s Parks & Rec and improvised a seven-minute speech where he developed a plan for Star Wars: Episode VII in front of the city council to prevent them from taking a vote. Amy Poehler’s character is heard in the background trying to cut into his pitch – at one point complaining that the female characters are underdeveloped – several times throughout.

You can relive the impressive comedic bit from Parks & Rec season 5, episode 19 below:

Now you can watch an animated version below, created by a person on YouTube named iZacLess. It was begging to be turned into a cartoon and we’re glad someone pulled it off.

The only thing as impressive as Oswalt’s speech is the animation work that was required to match the comedian’s off the cuff ideas. It’s a little more entertaining to watch than the original video because the clip from the show only depicts Oswalt standing behind a podium for seven full minutes. We’d like to see a split screen version of this to get the full effect.

Parks & Rec was recently renewed by NBC for season 6.
