Patrick Stewart’s Professor X will be making “more than an appearance” in Hugh Jackman’s final Wolverine movie.
All eyes are currently on Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse, which hits cinemas in May, 2016.
But then comes Wolverine 3, which Hugh Jackman has confirmed will be his final turn as the iconic character.

Rumor has it that the movie tells the story of “Old Man Logan,” a comic book storyline which takes place in a future, supervillain-controlled U.S.
Logan’s quiet family life is interrupted by a now-blind Hawkeye (currently Marvel’s property), who approaches him with a job he can’t turn down.

Speaking to Collider, Sir Patrick Stewart has confirmed that his character, Professor X, will also be showing up in the third instalment of the Wolverine trilogy — perhaps taking the place of Hawkeye, if this is indeed the intended storyline.
“I understand that Professor Xavier will be making more than an appearance, and that intrigues me,” Stewart teases.
The actor goes on to pretty much confirm the Old Man Logan rumors, saying, “The idea of an old Wolverine – I’m really looking forward to Hugh Jackman getting old. You know, damn him. He looks so great! So I’m hoping to see him covered in prosthetics, you know? And then he’ll make me look better if that’s the case.”
Wolverine 3 will be helmed by original Wolverine director James Mangold. It is slated for release on March 3, 2017.
