Party Down is officially getting the revival treatment over at Starz!

On Thursday (March 4), Starz announced that it is teaming with Lionsgate Television to develop a six-part limited series revival of Party Down.

“Are we having fun yet?” tweeted the network in their announcement. “Get ready, because the Party Down revival is in the works at Starz!”

The series, which aired on the premium cable channel from 2009 to 2010, starred Ken Marino (Veronica Mars), Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation), Jane Lynch (Glee), Martin Starr (Silicon Valley), Ryan Hansen (Veronica Mars), Lizzy Caplan (Masters of Sex), and Megan Mullally (Will & Grace).

It centered on a Los Angeles based catering team. All six in the group are making ends meet, working for tips while waiting for their big break in Hollywood.

Party Down vet Rob Thomas (Veronica Mars) is on board to serve as an executive producer on the upcoming revival.

In a statement announcing the big news, Thomas shed a bit of light with regards to how the limited series revival came to fruition.

“At the end of 2019, the Party Down cast and producers were all reunited at a retrospective for the show hosted by Vulture. We had such a good time that we wanted to find a way to get the team back together again,” said Thomas. “The cast is so busy these days that finding a window where we can do it may require trigonometry, but we’re determined to make it happen.”

Others on board to join Thomas in producing the series behind the scenes include John Enbom, Paul Rudd, and Dan Etheridge. In addition to producing, Enbom will also serve as the limited series revival’s showrunner.

Currently, there’s no word on when we can expect to see the Party Down limited series revival debut via Starz.
