NBC announced Thursday that First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama will appear on the season 6 finale of Parks & Rec this April.

According to a press release, “Mrs. Obama’s scene in the episode titled ‘Moving Up’ was filmed in late February in Miami where she celebrated investments in healthier out-of-school programs as part of her ‘Let’s Move’ initiative dedicated to solving the challenge of childhood obesity.”

UPDATE: A photo of Mrs. Obama filming her scene has been released by NBC…

The First Lady recently celebrated the fourth anniversary of her “Let’s Move” campaign, and just today announced a new nutrition label for food products with the Food and Drug Administration.

This won’t be the first time Parks & Rec has welcomed a major guest to its program. In its six years on the peacock network, the Amy Poehler-led comedy has welcomed Vice President Joe Biden, Arizona Senator John McCain, California Senator Barbara Boxer, and former Maine Senator Olympia Snowe.

With the First Lady and Vice President now part of the comedy’s collection of special guests, we have to wonder if President Barack Obama will appear next season?

Poehler reunited with Biden on the premiere episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers earlier this week. You can watch the Vice President’s hilarious appearance on Parks & Rec below. As viewers know, Poehler’s character Leslie Knope is a huge fan of Mr. Biden.

The First Lady’s appearance on Parks & Rec’s season finale airs Thursday, April 24 from 8 – 9 p.m. eastern/pacific on NBC. As you can tell by the time slot, the finale is a one-hour long special.

A new episode of Parks & Rec airs tonight.
