Parks and Rec season 7, episodes 10 and 11, “The Johnny Karate Super Awesome Musical Explosion Show” and “Two Funerals” air tonight at 8:00 p.m. on NBC. That’s… an ominous episode name.

Woah, Parks and Rec is almost over. Tonight are the antepenultimate and penultimate episodes. It seems like just over a month ago, Parks and Rec season 7 was starting. Oh wait, that’s because it was (January 13). Such is the reality of a short season that airs two episodes a week.

Last week we saw some victories for feminism in a Pie-Mary and April found her dream job in Washington. This week we’ll deal partially with the repercussions of that decision as Andy must air the final episode of Johnny Karate.

The second half hour’s title, “Two Funerals,” is fairly ominous but neither the episode synopsis nor episode photos betray anything truly tragic. Let’s hope that remains true. One Lil’ Sebastian funeral is enough.
