NBC has released an extended look at the end of Parks and Rec season 9, episode 14 with Ben Wyatt atop the Iron Throne.

Many great Westerosi have sat upon the Iron Throne beginning with Aegon, the Conquerer back in 1 A.L. all the way to Joffrey, the Worst in 298 A.L. Now add another to this list: Ben of House Wyatt in 2014 A.D.

Last week’s Parks and Rec featured super-wife Leslie getting a full-scale replica of The Iron Throne for her husband Ben on their one year anniversary. It’s about as awesome a gift that exists and now NBC has provided us with a fuller look of Ben’s completely understandable freak out.

Ben looks like a dog who can’t believe that his food bowl got filled all the way up again and we can’t blame him.

Included in the clip is his “stupid surprise face” and royal decrees of “yes, yes, no, no,” but it also provides an even more extended look at his reaction. He has to walk out his excitement before actually passing out in view of the beautiful throne.

Leslie isn’t any better at role play as it turns out, going through several sci-fi scenarios before accepting the role of Cersei and addressing Ben as “person on the Iron Throne.”

One quibble, however. Leslie says that there are as many swords on the Iron Throne as there have been kings in Westeros to which Ben responds “732!”

There were actually only 17 kings in the Targaryen dynasty before Robert Baratheon seized the Throne and eventually passed it down to heir Joffrey.

Jeez, it’s like half-hour NBC comedies don’t even fact check incredibly pedantic statistics from fantasy series anymore.
