Parks and Recreation season 6, episode 10 “Second Chunce” airs tonight at 8 p.m. on NBC. Numerous old favorites return to celebrate Parks’ 100th episode.

In today’s television landscape, 100 episodes is nothing to sneeze at. And Parks and Recreation is celebrating that by pulling out all the stops for its centennial celebration.

Was it planned that the show’s 100th episode finds Leslie Knope at a crucial turning point in her political and personal life or just a happy coincidence? Knowing Michael Schur and company, we’d bet the latter.

When we last left Leslie she had just been impeached but was determined to accomplish as much as possible in her last days in office. Meanwhile, Ben had been offered a job as City Manager, taking over for Chris.

This week Leslie is forced to come to terms with her impeachment and clean out her office. But in true Knope-ian fashion, she immediately hatches a plan to return to her beloved Pawnee City Council. As NBC has already revealed: her plan may have something to do with a certain scandal-ridden councilman coming up for re-election.

Parks and Rec has also lined up a bevy of guest stars to sweeten this 100th episode. Kathryn Hahn returns as former Bobby Newport campaign manager, Jennifer, and has what Schur describes as a “big scene.”

Henry Winkler returns as Jean-Ralphio’s father to reveal the sex of Chris and Anne’s baby, as does Kristen Bell as Leslie’s Eagleton counterpart, Ingrid de Forest.

We’d be willing to bet that given the happy occasion even more Pawnee favorites will stop by.
