Netflix’s Lost in Space reboot will feature a villainous Parker Posey! We love it already.

Yes, it’s all true: Netflix is rebooting Lost in Space, the role of the villain has been gender-swapped, and according to Coming Soon, 90s icon Parker Posey is set to take on the role!

Parker Posey will play Dr. Smith, the scheming but hapless villain who seeks to foil the heroes’ every move. The role has previously been played by Jonathan Harris and Gary Oldman.

Lost in Space follows the Robinson family, who have — as the title indicates — become lost in space. Lightyears from their destination, the divided family has to overcome their issues and learn to work together in this epic sci-fi adventure.
