Miles Teller will tackle the making of The Godfather for his next big role.

According to Deadline, actor Miles Teller has officially joined the cast of an all new making of The Godfather series in the works at Paramount+.

Titled the Offer, forthcoming limited series tells the story of The Godfather producer, Al Ruddy’s experiences making the iconic 1972 Francis Ford Coppola directed film.

For his part, Teller is set to play Oscar winner Al Ruddy himself in the 10-episode limited series.

Miles Teller takes over the part from Armie Hammer, who has since dropped out in light of the sexual assault allegations brought against him earlier this year.

Behind the camera, Nikki Toscano serves as showrunner on The Offer. In addition, Toscano will also write and executive produce on the series alongside Academy Award nominee Michael Tolkin. Other executive producers on the project include Teller, Ruddy, and Leslie Grief.

Finally, Rocketman vet Dexter Fletcher is set to serve as a director on the limited series.

Paramount+’s The Offer isn’t the only making of The Godfather title currently in the works.

In addition, Rain Man helmer Barry Levinson is also gearing up to bring a dramatized making-of movie of The Godfather to the big screen.

Titled Francis and The Godfather, the film is set to star Oscar Isaac and Jake Gyllenhaal. It’ll tell the story Coppola’s struggles to get the film made, and highlight his squabble with then Paramount studio head Robert Evans over movie making decision.

Currently, there’s no word on when we can expect to see The Offer starring Miles Teller debut via Paramount+.

Coming up next for the actor, he’ll be starring opposite Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer in the highly anticipated Top Gun sequel, Top Gun: Maverick, due out later this year.
