The first major look at Paper Towns starring Nat Wolff and Cara Delevingne debuted Thursday morning. Watch the new trailer here!

In the new Paper Towns trailer, fans of the book will instantly be struck by the differences from page to screen. But instead of focusing on how many tasks Q and Margo tackle on one night, or where their dance takes place, focus on the feeling the trailer stirs.

Watch the clues unfold as you break into the abandoned strip mall, walk the halls with Radar and Ben, and take in Orlando from the 25th floor of the SunTrust Building. While Margo’s mystery is just beginning, Q’s own story takes form. Climb in the minivan and take the wheel — you’ll never know what you’ll find while looking for life what doesn’t exist.

Update: Taylor Swift is a big fan of Delevingne’s accent:

Lucky fans got to see the new Paper Towns trailer at an event in New York City on Wednesday night. Author John Green, co-star Halston Sage (who plays Lacey), and director Jake Schreier presented the trailer and two clips before hosting a Q&A with fans.

In the first exclusive scene, Q and Margo break into the home of longtime classmate and constant tormentor, Chuck Parson, to perform one Margo’s tasks for her final night in Jefferson Park. Q and Margo seek their revenge by removing one of Chuck’s eyebrows while making up for lost time after they drifted apart over the years.

When asked about casting Cara Delevingne for Margo, Schreier and Green spoke of her personal relation to the character. As a model, people look at her on billboards and in magazines projecting their own story onto her, similar to how outsiders viewed Margo Roth Spiegelman. This kinship shined through during an improv portion of her audition.

The second clip showcases Halston Sage in her role as Lacey. The scene is the moment during Jase Worthington’s party where Q goes to the bathroom and finds Lacey sitting in the bathtub.

Green and Sage both spoke of her role during the Q&A, Green saying that his first impression of Sage was not unlike Q’s. As she worked on the role, Sage peeled back the layers beyond her natural beauty to reveal a much more complicated person desperate to break free.

The scenes and trailer give a good sense of the depth of character the movie will turn its focus on. While this is not TFiOS part two, Green does say that to get those fans in the theater there is a death within the first five minutes of the film.

As for another award worthy John Green performance, Schreier could only give us a 73% guarantee that it will make the theatrical cut of the film.

Filmmakers also announced Wednesday night that Ryan Lott of the band Son Lux will score Paper Towns.
