The Weinstein Company has just released a brand new theatrical poster for Paddington and a first look at actress Nicole Kidman as the film’s villainous character, Millicent!
Everyone’s favorite Peruvian bear is set to hit the big screen this coming Christmas, and now fans of Paddington finally have a chance to get a first look at Nicole Kidman’s Millicent thanks to a new still from the film!
Kidman sports a blonde bob and a sharp olive and brown tailored suit in the new still. Her character, Millicent, serves as Paddington‘s resident villain and is described as being an evil taxidermist who is both “sinister and seductive.”
The Weinstein Company also released a brand new poster for the upcoming film along with a first look of Kidman. The new poster features Paddington himself peeking out of a big blue mail bag on a snow lined street. With its winter motif, the new poster ties in wonderfully with the film’s release date of December 25.
Based on the classic children’s novels by Michael Bond and produced by Harry Potter producer David Heyman, Paddington follows the story of a young Peruvian bear (voiced by Skyfall‘s Ben Whishaw) who travels to London in the hopes of finding a home. It is here that he takes up with the Brown family who offer him a place to stay. Thus the little bear’s comic misadventures begin.
Paddington hits theaters on December 25, 2014.
