Time to get ready to say goodbye to the Byrdes. Netflix has announced that it has renewed Ozark for a fourth and final season.

According to Variety, the fourth and final season of Ozark will see an expanded order. While seasons 1, 2, and 3 all had 10 episodes, this final season will have 14 episodes. The season will be split into two parts, with seven episodes each.

Chris Mundy will return as showrunner, writer and executive producer. He will reunite with Jason Bateman as the creative forces behind both the first and second parts of the new season.

The final season will also see the return of series stars Jason Bateman, Laura Linney, Julia Garner, Sofia Hublitz, Skylar Gaertner, Charlie Tahan, and Lisa Emery.

“We’re so happy Netflix recognized the importance of giving Ozark more time to end the Byrdes’ saga right,” showrunner Chris Mundy said. “It’s been such a great adventure for all of us — both on screen and off — so we’re thrilled to get the chance to bring it home in the most fulfilling way possible.”

“A super sized season means super sized problems for the Byrdes,” leading actor Jason Bateman said. “I’m excited to end with a bang(s).”

Ozark has been a hit with both viewers and critics. Since first premiering in 2017, the series has netted 14 Emmy nominations, with Jason Bateman winning an Emmy for best directing in a drama series and Julia Garner won the Emmy for best supporting actress in a drama series.

Ozark comes from MRC Television and is executive produced by Bateman, Mundy, Mark Williams, John Shiban, Patrick Markey and Bill Dubuque. Linney will also be a co-executive producer for Season 4.
