Outlander may not be back until April, but Starz is giving fans a glimpse of what is to come.

Fans have taken to calling the period of waiting until the second half of the first season “Droughtlander”. We last had a new episode in late September, and we still have four months to go until we will get new episodes starting April 4, 2015. Fortunately, Starz is making the waiting better by kicking off a new feature.

According to the Starz series’ official Facebook page, “Outlanders, we’ve got something special for ye! We’re spreading the holiday cheer with 25 days of ‪#‎OutlanderOfferings‬. Each day on Twitter and select days on Facebook we’ll release exclusive content for ye to enjoy. It starts today with a glimpse of what’s to come when Outlander returns.”

Author Diana Gabaldon called the video “A nice treat to tide you over!”

When we last left Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan), Claire was being held captive by Captain Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies) at knife point. As Claire screamed for help and struggled, Jamie burst through the window where Claire was being held. Brandishing a firearm, he demanded that Captain Randall unhand his wife.

From the footage it’s obvious that Claire gets out of the room. She is seen in several scenes with Jamie outside and on horseback. Granted, we also see her being led away with her hands tied, but if she died, we wouldn’t have much of a series, would we? At one point, we hear her tearfully confessing to Jamie that, “I never counted on loving you.”

Other characters are also viewed in the brief teaser. Colum MacKenzie (Gary Lewis) is seen speaking to his brother, Dougal (Graham McTavish). Colum states, “One day brother, you’ll talk your head off your shoulders. Pray God they are big.”

Jamie does not say anything in the footage, but he is seen several times. In one notable scene, he seems to be wounded in a sword fight.

How excited are you for the second half of the season?
