Outlander’s action is no longer going to be settled around Lallybroch.

With apologies to Willie Nelson, the theme song of tonight’s Outlander could be “On the Road Again.” Just when you think Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) can settle down and get some peace, it’s time to saddle up the horses.

Last week we discovered that Jamie and Ian’s (Steven Cree) one-shot trip with MacQuarrie (Douglas Henshall) and the members of The Watch went horrifically wrong. The group ended up falling into a trap, and was ambushed by the British. Although Ian made it back to Lallybroch to tell Claire and Jenny (Laura Donnelly) what happened, Jamie and MacQuarrie were captured by the British.

This week it’s up to Jenny and Claire to get Jamie back. Let’s say that again. Two women in the 18th century are the rescue party. Mind you, one of those women gave birth within the last 48 hours, and is about to ride a horse over rough country. There are no damsels in distress here folks. They are going to be tracking the army captors, and they are not above employing any means necessary to get what they want as the video below shows.

Claire and Jenny enlist extra help. As this week’s synopsis reveals, “Claire and Jenny set out to rescue Jamie from his redcoat captors. When Murtagh joins up, Jenny returns home to her family while Claire and the Highlander employ unorthodox tactics to send word to Jamie. When word finally arrives, the news is not what anyone had hoped for.”

As the video below demonstrates, Claire realizes that she’s going to need something of a mini-army to get Jamie back. She makes an appeal to the men of Castle Leoch who Jamie had lived with since he returned from France.

Outlander airs tonight at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on Starz.
