Outlander launched their season 1, part 2 teaser earlier this week. Now, we have the full-blow trailer.

The first part of this footage, up until the 38-second mark was released back on January 4. The rest of the trailer picks up exactly where the teaser left off, with Claire running her hand up Jamie’s chest indicating that it’s not her desire to live apart.

Next, we have Murtagh (Duncan Lacroix) saying to Jamie in what looks to be a pub, “She (presumably Claire played by Caitriona Balfe) doesn’t understand what she’s cost us.”

We then flash to a scene depicting Claire in the home of presumably a high ranking lord, possibly the previously mentioned Duke of Sandringham who is Black Jack Randall’s (Tobias Menzies) supposed protector, accepting a toast.

Following is a heart wrenching scene between Jamie and Claire in the Highlands with an emotional Jamie (Sam Hueghan) telling Claire as he chokes back tears, “You are digging my guts out, Claire.”

Gellis Duncan (Lotte Verbeek) confronts Claire demanding, “Why are you here?” Claire, who is possibly the world’s worst liar, responds, “I’ve been travelling from Oxfordshire.” Predictably, Gellis sees right through her and retorts, “No, no! You’ve been lying all along.”

In a blink and you miss it moment, Claire is in a jail cell and Jamie screams, “No, Claire.”

Jamie is then squaring off in a duel with a gentleman of station whom we haven’t yet met. As the paces are counted down, a series of images ranging from Jamie and Claire in bed, to Claire in jail, to running in the forest flash before our eyes.

Various battle scenes and a snatch of the duel are seen as Black Jack Randall narrates, “Only risk brings reward.”

Jamie explains to Claire, “It’s personal with him (presumably Black Jack).” and in the next scene Claire demands to know from villagers, “Where is Jamie?”

Several scenes, some old and new, go by quickly. Notably are two where Jamie kisses Claire, and Claire holding a pistol at Red Coat’s head as Jenny Fraser (Laura Donnelly) narrates, “Love forces a person to choose. You do things you never imagined you could do before. There is no room for sentiment here.”

After various passionate scenes, Claire states, “I won’t give up on Jamie.”

We have to wait until April 4 to see how this all pans out and Outlander returns. Today, at the TCA conference, the showrunners confirmed that they are hopeful that every one of Diana Gabaldon’s eight Outlander novels can be brought to television. Gabaldon is working on the as of yet untitled ninth novel in the series. They also promised fans that a full minute of Outlander episode 9 will premiere during the debut episode of Black Sails season 2 on January 24.
