The 86th Annual Academy Awards will take place Sunday and to celebrate the nominees, we have taken a single quote from each of the films which were nominated for Best Picture and made them into posters. As you can imagine it was no easy task choosing just one quote from each film which has now been nominated for Best Picture, but we did our best and attempted to create visually enticing posters and unique quotes which best represented this year’s greatest films.
The road that a film takes from inception until being nominated for an Oscar is an exhausting, yet exciting journey. There are loads of politics involved and quite a bit of risk just getting a film on screen. Most of the time a studio’s only hope is simply to make a profit; awards are appreciated but not always the main goal. Just creating a film often takes years and tens of millions of dollars.
A group of talented actors and crew members work together over long periods of time, going to locations around the globe and creating unbelievable sets and sometimes entire films through computer animation and it all culminates for many of us film fans at the Academy Awards. Only one film will go home with the Oscar for Best Picture, but now you can vote for your favorite quote from this year’s Best Picture nominees.
